Job Description: Asset and O&M Manager
Reports to: Director of EPC and Operations

Job Summary:
Under general supervision by the Director EPC and Operations, the Asset and O&M Manager is responsible for providing financial and operational management as well as reporting expertise to solar power generation facilities. Through safe, operational management, will manage technical issues and maximize net cash generated. Additional responsibilities include generating reports for each facility and managing the communication to all internal and external parties.
Essential Functions:
- Oversee the asset management, operations and maintenance, and monitoring of the OCI Energy operating assets.
- Perform all asset management duties required to optimize and maximize the generation of OCI Energy operating assets, and ensure the short and long term safety, performance, and reliability for the assets.
- Perform and complete all reporting requirement within specified deadlines for the operating assets, internal and external.
- Perform and oversee the performance evaluation of the operating assets, and take and implement necessary actions to increase the revenue.
- Supervise the work of direct reports.
- Asset optimization:
- Conduct proactive predictive and preventive maintenance and technical operational performance analysis.
- Enabler of asset performance reporting and analysis of key performance metrics.
- Improve corporate operational knowledge and awareness of solar power generation facilities through training, process improvement, and cost-effective technical improvements and enhancements.
- Contractual enforcement:
- Challenge manufacturer performance assessments.
- Investigation the allocation of solar array downtime as well as performance metrics and associated trends.
- Enforce warranty and other guarantees within designated contracts.
- Track / trend key operations & maintenance provider metrics.
- Investigate site abnormalities to identify root causes, provide corrective actions, and incorporate lessons learned.
- Challenge manufacturer performance assessments.
- Lead the continuous improvement of OCI Energy operating assets.
- Provide feedback to improve and update OCI Energy development model.
- Manage all warranty and contractual communication with customers, off takers, OEMs, transmission providers, ISO/RTO’s, FERC/NERC, vendors, service providers, and other stakeholders as necessary.
- Responsible for all reporting as it relates to solar power generation facilities under OCI Energy LLC’s individual, direct control.
- Assist in driving a safety culture that is measured against the business goal, days away from work cases, and high potential incidents, among other criteria. Safety performance is also indicated by the attitude and culture of the overall OCI Energy team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or other relevant area of study; Master’s degree preferred.
- Seven plus (7+) years of experience in a solar power plant asset management, or operations/maintenance.
- Significant experience in operations or financial management, including contract administration.
- A self-starter who can work independently on projects, data analysis, and key deliverables.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with senior management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Must possess advanced general computer operating skills, including advanced Microsoft Office® software suite (including Word®, Excel®, PowerPoint®, Project®) experience
- Ability to travel (estimated at 10%).
- Desired attributes
- Three plus (3+) years of demonstrated supervisory experience with engineering, operation, and technical staff is strongly desired.
- Familiarity and experience with enterprise-level programs for hardware and software systems for remote data acquisition and control of solar power generation facilities, including computerized maintenance management systems and data analysis tools is strongly desired.
- Exposure to and understanding of environmental, health, and safety program management and requirements for power generation facilities is strongly desired.
